Bayley has been the talk of the town over the last few weeks, with rumor mills abuzz with speculation about her leaving WWE. However, The Role Model’s recent comment on Brie Bella’s post has subtly confirmed her immediate future with the company.
Mercedes Moné recently teased a match against Bayley in AEW, with reports also stating that her contract with WWE is expiring soon. The 37-year-old faced Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where she suffered a loss. Valkyria continued to attack the Role Model after the match, which many believed was to write the latter off TV programming.
Thanks for the submission!
While Bayley returned to action during the Summer Tour live events, she has yet to appear on WWE TV. Lyra Valkyria has also noted repeatedly that the former SmackDown Women’s Champion is gone for good. However, a comment from the 37-year-old on Brie Bella’s post indicates otherwise.
Brie Bella recently posted about her injury on Instagram, thanking everyone for their love and wishes. The Role Model also commented on the video, asking Brie to “hurry back,” which subtly indicates that the former is going nowhere for now.
Bayley’s absence was addressed on WWE RAW
While Bayley has not been seen on WWE TV since her loss to Lyra Valkyria last month, the Role Model has been referenced multiple times by The Bird Lady, indicating the feud between the two is far from over.
Valkyria was present on RAW this past Monday, where she commented on Sol Ruca losing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship:
“Byron [Saxton], I created that title. It was made for me, by me, and I’m always going to find my way back to it, okay? But what we really need to talk about is poor Sol Ruca. I mean, between us, I always knew she’d crash and burn eventually. She doesn’t have the grit. She doesn’t have the mental strength. I mean, a fun fact for all the people out here. She actually lost the championship in the same building as I did. How poetic?”
Lyra also set her sights upon Raquel Rodriguez before mentioning what she did to Bayley at Saturday Night’s Main Event:
“Which brings me to the new champion — Raquel Rodriguez. Raquel, I hope you’re watching, and I hope you watched Saturday Night’s Main Event. I hope you saw what I did to Bayley. I brutalized her. She’s gone. She’s done. She’s never coming back. And if I did that to a friend, what do you think I’d do to someone I don’t even like?”
While it is difficult to say what the future holds for the Role Model, one can expect her to return to finish the story with Lyra Valkyria. The 37-year-old has kept her cards close to her chest regarding her WWE status, but we will get a clearer picture in the coming months.
