In Pokemon TCG Pocket, Mega Sharpedo ex is a Water-type Stage 1 card from Ruler of the Skies that can be played on a Carvanha. As a Mega Evolution, this card embraces a high risk, high reward playstyle. While Mega Sharpedo ex getting KO’d would instantly lose you the game, using its move Turbo Shark to power up its fellow Water-type allies makes it a great Energy accelerator.
So in this guide we will take a look at the best way to play Mega Sharpedo ex and the cards that work well alongside it.

Best Pokemon TCG Pocket Mega Sharpedo ex deck guide: Strategy breakdown

1) Mega Sharpedo ex
- HP: 190
- Move: Turbo Shark
- Move Damage: 70
- Move Description: Take a Water Energy from your Energy Zone and attach it to 1 of your Benched Water Pokemon
- Move Energy Cost: 1 Water Energy
- Retreat Cost: None
On the surface, Turbo Shark’s 70 damage is, honestly, pathetic for a Mega Evolution. However, besides the fact that you only need a single Water Energy for the move, its the secondary effect that matters. Turbo Shark allows you to place another Water Energy to any of your Benched Water Pokemon. This will allo Pokemon with high Energy costs to attack faster.

2) Chien-Pao ex (Paldean Wonders)

- HP: 130
- Move 1: Icicle
- Move 1 Damage: 20
- Move 1 Energy Cost: 1 Water Energy
- Move 2: Diving Icicles
- Move 2 Description: Discard all Water Energy from this Pokemon. This attack does 130 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Pokemon
- Move 2 Energy Cost: 3 Water Energy
- Retreat Cost: 1 Energy
Chien-Pao ex from Paldean Wonders is the main attacker of this deck. After Mega Sharpedo ex uses Turbo Shark, it can attach a Water Energy to Chien Pao ex. Combined with Elemental Switch, this will allow Chien Pao ex to use Diving Icicles in two turns as opposed to three. Mega Sharpedo ex can also switch out for no cost, allowing players to bring Chien-Pao ex from the Bench easily as well.
