If you are looking to take a break from sweaty competitive matches, the casual Kickabouts in EA FC 27 and The Grounds are exactly what you need. These party-style games throw traditional football rules out the window for chaotic and incredibly fun multiplayer sessions. I will now give a detailed breakdown of what to expect from all these available mini-games. Whether you are jumping in solo or bringing your entire club, here is the full list of casual Kickabouts modes you can play at launch.

Every Kickabout mode in EA FC 27 The Grounds

EA Sports has built these Kickabouts to be highly approachable for all skill levels. You can easily walk up to specific locations on the map and queue up instantly. Here is a look at all the Kickabouts available on the EA FC 27 launch day.

    • Goal Control: This is a frantic 1v1 experience where you go head to head against another player. Your objective is to score on and take control of as many targets as possible before the timer runs out. It requires quick dribbling and precise shooting to dominate the arena.
    • The Big Race: Grab three other friends for this chaotic four-player obstacle course. You will race against each other while maintaining control of the ball through various dribbling challenges. It is a fantastic test of your left stick dribbling and sprint control.
    • Bucket Ball: If you ever wondered what happens when football meets basketball, this 2v2 mode is your answer. You and a teammate will try to chip, flick, and volley the ball into raised buckets. It brings a completely fresh vertical element to your standard street matches.
    • Balloon Ball: Prepare for a wild free-for-all experience that mashes football with dodgeball mechanics. Four players square off in an arena where you must smash the ball to eliminate your opponents. It is fast, unpredictable, and perfect for casual parties.

You are not just limited to the formal Kickabout arenas when exploring the open world of The Grounds. The mode would also feature Drop Kick Targets, which will turn the entire map into a massive organic playground. You can spawn a ball at any given moment while roaming the streets.

The Drop Kick Targets mechanics are incredibly simple to master, as you just need to spawn a ball, aim, and kick it. You will find unique targets littered across buildings and alleys for you to discover and smash. It is a great way to practice your aim while waiting for your friends to come online.

Future Kickabouts coming to EA FC 27 The Grounds

EA FC 27’s launch day is only the beginning for these casual party games. EA Sports has confirmed that new Kickabouts will be added to the game through seasonal updates. I already got a sneak peek at what is arriving during the Screaming Grounds Halloween event in The Grounds.

Players can expect a brand new Kickabout called Bulldog to drop during the spooky season. Moreover, you will see thematic updates like pumpkins as targets throughout the three districts in the open world. These Kickabouts do paint a fun picture of The Grounds, but a former EA dev claims it to be the worst project he worked on.
