If you are eagerly waiting for EA FC 27 The Grounds, there is an interesting new update about the mode that has surfaced online just a day before the reveal. A former EA Sports developer has stepped forward with heavy accusations about the upcoming game. While fans usually get incredibly hyped for new modes, this revelation paints a very different picture. It seems the development process for this highly anticipated addition was far from smooth.
Former EA FC 27 developer claims to expose The Grounds Mode as the worst project
A former employee known on X as @DaaGlitcher recently reposted an official EA Sports FC post teasing The Grounds, which would be unveiled on August 4. The developer, whose bio clearly states to be an “Ex EA Sports, FC Employee,” held nothing back. He claimed this upcoming feature will completely expose the true philosophy of the company.
The X post revealed that The Grounds was the last project that the former EA Sports dev worked on. He described the development cycle as one of the worst projects he has ever experienced in his entire career. Hearing this from an insider certainly raises major red flags for players. You have to wonder what exactly went wrong behind closed doors.

The developer did not stop there, as he promised that a full video is coming soon to detail his experiences. This means you can expect a deeper dive into the alleged issues plaguing EA FC 27 and The Grounds shortly. When will the video be released? DaaGlitcher didn’t reveal any date, but it would likely go online after the mode’s Deep Dive on August 4. The X post is already creating a lot of buzz online, as FC fans are waiting to see what secrets will be unveiled.
Some doubted the credibility of the X user, so he shared a screenshot in the replies to his original post. This image revealed his real name to be Renzo Barraza, who has worked on not just EA FC but also pre-rebranding FIFA titles. He started working for the American gaming giant as a tester for FIFA 14 and was one of the quality designers for EA FC 26.

Having someone with over a decade of experience speak out like this is a massive deal for the community. Barraza has seen the evolution of these football titles firsthand over many years. When a veteran explicitly calls EA FC 27 The Grounds his absolute worst experience would be worth looking into.
