Veteran Team India spinner Kuldeep Yadav continued his impressive showing for Yorkshire in the One Day Cup 2026 with a sensational double-wicket maiden in the game against Worcestershire on July 29. The 31-year-old recently joined the club as their overseas player for the remainder of the season, following India’s ODI series in England.

Having been left out of all the white-ball games in India’s 0-4 and 1-2 T20I and ODI series defeats to England, Kuldeep has made amends since joining Yorkshire. In their latest outing yesterday, the left-arm spinner produced one of the most incredible finishes to a spell in the 50-over format.

Sitting on figures of 0/34 in nine overs, Kuldeep opened his bag of tricks to clean up Beyers Swanepoel and Fateh Singh in his final over. With an extraordinary double-wicket maiden, he finished with outstanding figures of 2/34 in 10 overs.

Here is a video of Kuldeep Yadav’s brilliant final over, a double-wicket maiden:

Kuldeep’s heroics helped Yorkshire restrict Worcestershire to a subpar 230 in their 50 overs. In response, Yorkshire had no trouble completing the run-chase in a mere 40.4 overs with six wickets in hand.

Kuldeep Yadav is off to a red-hot start for Yorkshire in One Day Cup 2026

Kuldeep Yadav has been a massive addition to the Yorkshire squad in the ongoing One Day Cup 2026. After the side suffered a 50-run loss in their tournament opener, the side added the veteran Indian spinner to their playing XI in the second match against Glamorgan.

Kuldeep instantly made a difference with figures of 2/39 in 10 overs, helping Yorkshire open their account with a two-wicket win. The star spinner continued his excellence in the following encounter against Sussex, picking up two wickets and scoring 22 vital runs in Yorkshire’s 184-run victory.

The most recent outing against Worcestershire saw Kuldeep have a third consecutive spectacular showing with the ball, helping Yorkshire register a hat-trick of wins. They are currently second in the Group B points table with three wins in four matches, with their next game against Durham scheduled to be played on Friday, July 31.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep is part of the Indian squad for the upcoming two-match Test series in Sri Lanka, starting August 15.
