Dominik Mysterio has been one of the defining faces of The Judgment Day over the past few years. After betraying his father and joining the faction, “Dirty Dom” evolved from one of WWE’s most hated stars into a championship-winning heel. Alongside Liv Morgan, JD McDonagh, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez, he remains a central figure on Monday Night RAW heading into SummerSlam 2026.

However, recent developments suggest that Dominik’s future with the group may not be as secure as it once seemed. From his growing commitments outside WWE to the faction’s changing dynamics, several clues point towards the company preparing for a major shake-up.

That said, in this article, we look at three clear signs Dominik Mysterio could soon walk away from The Judgment Day.

#3. Dominik Mysterio is already part of another faction in AAA

Perhaps one of the biggest hints comes from outside WWE. As the reigning AAA Mega Champion, Dominik Mysterio has become a major player in Lucha Libre AAA. During AAA’s Verano de Escándalo, he shocked fans by betraying El Grande Americano. He then aligned himself with Dorian Roldán and Omos as part of the newly formed El Ojo faction.

That development gives Dominik something few WWE Superstars currently have: membership in two major factions at the same time.

Although WWE has embraced the crossover between its programming and AAA, Triple H may eventually decide that Dominik Mysterio’s character works better leading or representing one dominant group instead of splitting his attention between two promotions.

Moreover, “Dirty” Dom’s AAA persona has become increasingly independent. Rather than relying on The Judgment Day, the younger Mysterio has been making calculated decisions on his own, even betraying allies whenever it benefits him. That attitude perfectly fits his established character and could easily translate back to WWE television.

If the company wants to further strengthen its relationship with AAA, presenting Dominik Mysterio as a lone manipulator or as the face of his new faction rather than simply another member of The Judgment Day would make perfect sense.

Also, it would freshen up Dominik’s character after spending several years under the purple banner.

#2. Dominik has no major storyline and could grow frustrated

Although Dominik remains an important member of The Judgment Day, the faction itself hasn’t revolved around him for quite some time.

Heading into SummerSlam, Liv Morgan is focused on defending the Women’s World Championship, while other members continue pursuing their own goals. Meanwhile, Dominik finds himself caught in a comedic rivalry with Danhausen over stolen “human monies.” This set the stage for a match at SummerSlam.

For someone who once stood at the centre of WWE’s biggest storylines, that seemingly represents a noticeable shift.

Thus, remaining in a faction where everyone pursues separate agendas may eventually hold him back rather than elevate him. That frustration could become part of the on-screen story.

If Dominik starts believing that The Judgment Day no longer benefits his career, leaving voluntarily would fit his opportunistic personality. He’s never been portrayed as someone who values loyalty above personal success. In fact, his WWE career has largely been built on betrayals and shocking decisions.

Also, a split would allow the company to push Dominik Mysterio into fresh rivalries as a standalone heel while keeping The Judgment Day occupied with its own internal issues.

#1. The Judgment Day could slowly become an all-female faction

Another sign is that The Judgment Day is currently driven by its female stars. Liv Morgan enters SummerSlam as the Women’s World Champion. Raquel Rodriguez remains a powerful presence on RAW and is the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Also, Roxanne Perez has become an increasingly important part of the group’s future. Together, they often receive more focus than the male members.

JD McDonagh continues to support the faction. However, he rarely serves as its central attraction. Dominik still gets television time, yet much of it has revolved around comedic situations rather than the group’s long-term direction. Thus, WWE could decide to lean fully into the women’s side of the stable.

An all-female version of The Judgment Day would be something entirely new for the faction. Morgan could lead the group, with Raquel serving as the powerhouse and Perez adding youthful energy and technical skill. The trio already shares strong chemistry. Thus, removing the male members would create a fresh identity instead of simply continuing the same formula.

Dominik Mysterio’s departure wouldn’t necessarily require a dramatic betrayal, either. WWE could book him to pursue his growing AAA commitments or establish himself as a solo star while the women continue to dominate RAW together.

Such a move would also help prevent The Judgment Day from feeling stale after several years on television. The company has consistently refreshed the faction by changing its members, from Finn Balor’s exit earlier this year to the addition of newer faces. Thus, another evolution could ensure the group remains relevant heading into 2027.
