    Teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi once again fell for a low score in the second T20I against Zimbabwe. The game is being played in Harare on Saturday, July 25.

    India won the toss and opted to bat first. Vaibhav Suryavanshi played his natural game, starting as he always does. He smacked 18 runs off Richard Ngarava in the third over. On the last ball of the same over, he attempted another shot off a short delivery but ended up throwing his wicket away.

    Fans criticised the 15-year-old for getting out early and looking to go after every ball.

    “Vaibhav Sooryavanshi needs a mentor who can guide him while playing g International games – even otherwise. Attempting to smack every ball is not batting – at least, not sustainable batting,” a fan wrote on X.

    “Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has lost the ego battle with himself, he had already hit each of the previous 4 balls from Richard Ngarava for a boundary so could have showed restraint (because the field was set for exactly that) but he didn’t & perished. Little disappointed but okay,” another fan wrote.

    Having made a name for himself in the shorter format, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was fast-tracked into the national team. He made his debut in the recently concluded England series and played three games on the tour.

    However, he made low scores in all the matches and was dismissed trying to play shots on all occasions. He returned scores of 14 (10), 13 (5), and 15 (10). In the first T20I against Zimbabwe, he finally converted the start and slammed his maiden international fifty, scoring 50 runs off 19 balls with four boundaries and as many sixes.

    Apart from that, all his scores have been low in the four games that he has played so far. While Suryavanshi boasts a high strike rate of 209.09, he has just 92 runs.
