The July 13 episode of WWE RAW ended with a dramatic contract signing segment between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins to make their World Heavyweight Championship match official.

Two signed the contract first and handed it to the WWE General Manager, Adam Pearce, who then left the ring with it. However, the chaos began after that, when Rollins first took a shot at The OTC, saying they would meet again once he showed up, and then left the ring to walk backstage.

But The Original Tribal Chief stopped him and started his own verbal onslaught on Rollins. Reigns said that if he actually beat him and became champion, he would carry the title for a few weeks before getting injured again, taking a jab at his history of injuries during his title reign. The OTC said some would say it is self-sabotage because some people can’t simply carry the burden of being the top guy.

Roman claimed Seth’s work. Daddy Triple H tried his best to make him number one by giving him all his stuff, but still, The Visionary can’t walk in his shoes. He then exclaimed that he was number two and would always be #2, and that he is the number 1.

Reigns’ mind game took over Rollins, and he attacked The OTC. While Roman Reigns initially countered his stomp, he reversed Tribal Chief’s powerbomb attempt with a Pedigree of his own, then followed up with a brutal stomp.

The Visionary even held Reigns by the hair and yelled at him, asking where his Bloodline was, which suggests that, just like fans, Rollins was also shocked that Roman’s faction didn’t come out in aid of their Tribal Chief.

Here are three potential reasons why The Bloodline didn’t help Roman Reigns against Seth Rollins on the red brand:

    #3. The Tribal Chief’s order

On the post-Night of Champions episode of WWE RAW, when Rollins came face-to-face with Roman Reigns for the first time to set up their World Heavyweight Championship match, a fan-shared clip sparked the theory that The OTC wanted no Bloodline in his business with his former Shield brother.

The social media transcription of the clip claimed that, during Rollins’s entrance, Roman Reigns told Jacob Fatu that the former leader of The Vision was his fight and that he didn’t need help.

After their match was confirmed, Reigns may have told The Usos and Jacob, once and for all, that he doesn’t want them sticking their noses in his business with Rollins at any cost, as he wants to overcome his long-running rival on his own.

#2. The champion might want The Bloodline to finish other works

Apart from Roman Reigns making his third title defense at SummerSlam 2026. The Bloodline is now also in camp for another massive match at the Biggest Party of the Summer.

On WWE RAW, Jimmy Uso faced Royce Keys in an impromptu rematch. However, Jacob Fatu entered the ring during the match and attacked Royce. Fatu was out there for destruction as he struck a steel chair to Keys’ neck and was about to crash him with a hip attack. Still, Solo Sikoa came in to stop the Samoan Werewolf, and he managed to lure him and Jimmy Uso into his trap, agreeing to join the Bloodline. He threw a “We the Ones” sign, and as Uso joined him, he took him out with a Samoan Spike.

Sikoa managed to fight despite a handicap but was outnumbered. The tables were turned as Royce recovered as well, and LA Knight ran with a steel chair, forcing Jacob and Jimmy to flee. The Megastar then challenged The Usos and Fatu for a six-man tag team match at SummerSlam against him, Sikoa, and Keys.

WWE did not waste any time booking the six-man tag match for SummerSlam. The OTC may have sent Jacob and Jimmy home to start their camps for the match and handle this part of the Bloodline business, while he would take care of Rollins.

#1. Final Chapter of The Shield Saga

Since WWE has officially announced a World Heavyweight Championship bout between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, they have been billing it as the final chapter in their The Shield saga.

Hence, if this is really the final chapter in the storyline, things need to stay only between Rollins and Reigns, fair and square, as The Bloodline’s inclusion would add a factor that his faction’s pressure helped The OTC beat Rollins.

Therefore, to actually write the end of the Shield storyline, The Bloodline has been kept completely away from this saga.
