Why we love it: Residential-style accommodations, club room, library, roof deck with skyline views
This is one of the few true neighborhood hotels in Chicago, close to some of Uptown’s favorite restaurants, shops, and nightlife, so you can feel like one of the locals and hang out with them too. Spacious, residential-style suites and a dedicated on-site team help travelers feel like they’re right at home. The hotel features 25 suites, each one with a private balcony and designed to evoke an elevated feel. Starting at 600 square feet, the one-bedroom suite features 10-foot ceilings, an open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a granite breakfast bar, and a bedroom and bathroom with luxe furnishings. Two- and three-bedroom suites follow a similar layout, with additional sleeping quarters and bathrooms. The team has thoughtfully considered how to enhance the comfort and convenience of a guest’s stay—e.g., plenty of locally made snacks for purchase, and an on-site washer and dryer. —N.S.
