Bharat Petroleum Corp has bought one million barrels of U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude for August arrival via a tender, sources said on Thursday.
The company bought the oil from trading house Vitol at a premium around $6 per barrel to dated Brent, the people said.
Companies normally do not comment on commercial matters.
