    US strikes hit transport infrastructure in Iran, including bridges, overnight between Jujly 17 and 18, Iranian media reported, marking a further escalation more than a week after fighting resumed around the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Even as the campaign intensifies, the White House insists the door to diplomacy remains open.
