An American reporter has gone viral following her claim about the USMNT Round of 32 clash with Bosnia & Herzegovina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. She bragged about the host nation’s quality and tipped them to get the better of their European counterpart.

The USMNT and Bosnia will lock horns at the San Francisco Bay Arena on Thursday, July 2. Playing on home soil, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are the favorites to advance to the next round.

The host nation amassed six points to top their group during the group stage, and fans are confident they can go all the way against Bosnia, including a reporter whose claim has gone viral.

Speaking ahead of the game, she said (via SportBible):

“The USA will play Bosnia in the Round of 32. I couldn’t even pount them out on a map. You are gonna get it. Team USA are back and we are better than ever! So better get prepared Bosnia, because you don’t want it, but you are gonna get it next Wednesday.”

Unlike the USMNT, who finished top of their group, Bosnia secured a Roud of 32 ticket with a third-place finish in Group B. The Dragons held co-host Canada to a 1-1 draw, lost 4-1 to Switzerland before defeating Qatar 3-1.

USMNT legend sends strong warning to Bosnia ahead of FIFA World Cup clash

Former USMNT goalkeeper Tim Howard believes that the USA will get the better of Bosnia & Herzegovina in their FIFA World Cup Round of 32 clash. He downplayed the team’s loss to Turkey and predicted a comeback for Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

“And oh, guess what? It’s really good to play in hard games, that’s great, and playing in a hard game that didn’t go our way when the result didn’t matter is success to me. So, the power of the World Cup is amazing. We’ve done so well that people are like, ‘oh my God, we’re not gonna win the World Cup’ because we lost. We’re fine. Everything’s fine”, Howard said.

“Bosnia, they’re better off not even getting on a plane and going to San Francisco, because the U.S. is gonna put work in against them”, he added.

After back-to-back wins against Paraguay (4-1) and Australia (2-0), USA succumbed to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of an already eliminated Turkiye.
