Chris Jericho has had a shaky run to begin 2026, but now it seems he has found his footing. Earlier tonight on AEW Collision, he finally snapped an unfortunate streak.
The Nueve made his return to the Jacksonville-based promotion in January after a period of uncertainty. Many wondered if he would ever return to the company, and if his contract was just going to run its course. Upon returning, he got into a feud with Ricochet but would, unfortunately, suffer some disappointing losses.
But he has made up for this and has been on a decent run over the past month. He is currently in a heated feud with Tommaso Ciampa, and it seems that the Psycho Killer has brought out remnants of the old version of Jericho.
The former WWE Champion was in action tonight against JD Drake, and was looking to pick up momentum he is set to take on Ciampa in less than two weeks at AEW Beach Break. Chris Jericho was able to come away with a win tonight after locking in the Walls of Jericho on Drake.
This was the Demo-God’s first win on Collision since February last year, when he successfully defended his ROH World title against Bandido. He competed in a match on the Saturday show two months ago, but he ended up losing that one.
Post-match, he was far from satisfied with the win, and Jericho grabbed JD Drake and locked in his submission hold once more. He was sending a clear message to Tommaso Ciampa, as Ciampa did the same thing a few weeks ago to BEEF, as part of his mind games with Jericho.
Chris Jericho looks more focused and determined, as if something had awakened in him during this feud with Tommaso Ciampa. But the Psycho Killer is no easy task, so Jericho may have to tread carefully.
