Your July 2026 Horoscope: Life-Changing Trips Lie Ahead

Your July 2026 horoscope is here. In July, new worlds are born. In an alignment that likely has no precedent and will never repeat again, every slow-moving planet will link up in a chain of perfect sextiles, starting with Pluto at 4 degrees of Aquarius, Neptune at 4 degrees of Aries, Uranus at 4 degrees of Gemini, and Jupiter at 4 degrees of Leo. On July 19, the moon in Libra will complete the pattern, and not to be missed in this sequence, Saturn is also participating in the sign-based pattern of sextiles. French astrologer André Barbault, who predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union and pandemic in 2020 decades before either event happened, said this alignment would be “the most beautiful configuration of the 21st century” and that it would usher in a new golden age for humanity.

A prediction like this feels out of touch with the reality of the world in June 2026. It remains to be seen whether Barbault’s optimism will be consistent with his track record for visionary accuracy, or whether this cooperative assembly of planets will grease the wheels for the wrong version of utopia. Regardless, that doesn’t mean new skies can’t open for you in places you never thought possible. The dynamic, creative momentum of July will reshape your world, and the memories you make this month will be even more meaningful because of what you’re birthing through them. Existentially, the trips we take in July are probably more high-stakes because of the significance of what we’re all collectively experiencing.

Speaking of travel, July is not a quiet or chill month, but it could pleasantly surprise you in all kinds of life-affirming ways. In particular, take extra care traveling around July 4, which features a combustible conjunction between Mars and Uranus in Gemini. On July 4 and 5, Mars is pinging every slower planet in the “basket” and beginning the labor contractions. This could show up as a disruptive event that catalyzes the larger wave of unfolding, like the fuse that sets off the firework. Mercury is also retrograde in Cancer most of the month (until July 23), which is notorious for making travel more problematic (but could certainly put you in the headspace to reminisce while you’re waiting out a delay). This is not a bad time to buy the cancellation policy, take out the travel insurance, or simply budget more time for traffic.

Astrologer’s note: Below we refer to your signs as “rising” signs, also known as your ascendant sign. Horoscopes are more accurate when read this way—using your birth time and location, you can quickly find your rising sign online (it takes less than 30 seconds).

    Aries Rising

You took a risk and put yourself out there. Now, the ripple effects of your big splash are arranging themselves into a shape you can discern, which means the next thing you need to do is to adjust yourself to the shape of your own creation. In July, every slow-moving planet links up in a chain of cooperative sextiles that promotes creative flow and synergy in your creative and communitarian efforts, but crucially, it’s Neptune and Saturn that are both stationing retrograde in Aries (on July 7 and 26, respectively). You will be inspired by the way things are seemingly working out by their own accord, and also compelled to change up the way you’re doing things in order to give more energy to the things that are working. The dual retrograde stations of Saturn and Neptune in your rising sign create a natural hinge point in your year, one that requires you to pivot or to acknowledge failure wherever it makes sense, but also to avoid dwelling on spilled milk when there’s so much other exciting stuff happening over there.

A somewhat rude awakening could arrive even sooner in the month, when Mars conjoins Uranus on July 4. This is chaotic energy that could arrive in the form of a strongly worded email or note on your windshield. If you’re commuting or taking the train around this date, expect the possibility of traffic and a less-than-smooth journey, and avoid distractions while you’re driving. However, the most important thing about this moment is its power to disrupt and redirect you. With Mercury spending much of the month retrograde in your 4th house, this could be the time to consider moving, and if Mars shows up as a loud noise in your neighbor’s yard that motivates you to start looking at housing listings, so be it. There’s also the possibility that you’ll be working out some family drama in July, and a harsh word with a sibling could get you to address the elephant in the room. This actually isn’t the worst month to take a trip with your family or host them at your place, but don’t expect things to stay easy-breezy surface level. We’re revisiting that old memory and digging grandma’s things out of the attic, whether you want to or not.
