A female AEW star’s post about a recent injury she sustained has drawn reactions from multiple professional wrestling stars, including Britt Baker and WWE veteran Candice Michelle.

The star in question is Deonna Purrazzo, who was badly hurt during a recent ROH taping while competing against Steph De Lander for the ROH Women’s Pure Championship. During the match, she sustained an injury while performing a spot on the floor. The match was called off, and she was taken backstage. Earlier today, the Virtuosa took to Instagram to post a picture of herself on crutches and to thank everyone for their support.

Purrazzo’s post was flooded with encouraging reactions from many stars, including AEW stars like Britt Baker (who liked the post), while the IInspiration and Mina Shirakawa left get-well comments. It also received love from WWE legends like Candice Michelle and Layla, who wished her a speedy recovery.

Star reactions on Purrazzo’s Instagram post can be checked below:

AEW star Deonna Purrazzo’s husband, Steve Maclin, open to working in ROH

Deonna Purrazzo’s real-life partner, Steve Maclin, was granted his release from TNA earlier this month after a fruitful five-year tenure with the promotion. His future in wrestling has since been a matter of discussion, and the star recently gave a major hint at where he might end up next.

Speaking in the latest edition of his and his wife’s Boots to Boots podcast, the former Impact World Champion expressed interest in joining AEW’s sister promotion, ROH. The 39-year-old veteran was answering a fan question about the same.

“Yes, I would love that. I got to wrestle Gresham a few times for the (ROH) Pure title when he was at TNA at the time, and they were using ROH before ROH was bought by AEW. It was kind of cool to just stick my toes in that water a little and dabble. It’s fun because it just opens up the playbook, but to go there and have the code of honor, just the history to be part of that too, is another check off the bucket list to work for every major company. ROH was a big part of the boom and how wrestling changed. It wasn’t about the muscular guys flexing; it was normal guys being athletic, which opened up the floodgates for everyone on the Independence to step it up a little bit. It was a proving ground; the number of names that have come through ROH and where they are now is insane. So yes, to answer your question, if I were to go to the Ring of Honor, then I would love to work there,” said Maclin

Time will reveal whether Steve Maclin ends up joining Tony Khan’s promotion.
