LA Sparks star Klesey Plum was at the MLB game between the LA Dodgers and the Baltimore Orioles in Los Angeles on Saturday. The guard was at the game for the ceremonial first pitch and threw a perfect ball from the mound, earning praise from fans online.
The Dodgers shared a post on Instagram, highlighting Plum’s visit to their arena.
“4x WNBA All-Star. 2x WNBA Champ. 2x Olympic Gold Medalist. Welcome, Kelsey Plum!” the LA Dodgers captioned the post.
In the post, the Dodgers shared multiple images and clips from her visit to the UNIQLO Field, including a video of her pitch, which had a perfect trajectory and landed on the catcher’s mitt.
The post quickly grabbed the attention of fans, who praised Plum for her perfect first pitch.
“KP with a better toss than many MNBA players 🏀,” a fan wrote.
“She has a great arm,” another added.
“KP was holding back she got a rocket,” a third remarked
“Kelsey would never disappoint us with throwing a baseball ⚾️ 🙌🏽👏🏽,” wrote a fourth.
The outpour continued as fans reacted to the post, showing love to Plum.
“She was tryna go easy on y’all fr,” a fan expressed.
“KP!!!” another remarked.

While Plum’s throw earned plenty of praise and helped set the tone early, the Dodgers couldn’t get the result they were hoping for. The Orioles struck first and added runs in the second and fourth innings, putting the home side on the back foot.
A late push from the Dodgers, who scored twice in the ninth, wasn’t enough to complete the comeback, as Baltimore held on to secure a narrow 3-2 win.
Kelsey Plum offers an update on her injury as the LA Sparks host the New York Liberty
Kelsey Plum has been unfortunate with injuries this term, having missed four games for the Sparks due to an injury. She was out for her team’s 99-83 loss to the Lynx on Wednesday with a leg injury and remains on the injury list for the upcoming game against the NY Liberty on Sunday.
During an interview with John Davis on Saturday, Plum reflected on her fitness struggles this season, while offering an injury update for tomorrow’s game.
“I mean, listen, the first one is a fluke,” Plum said. “I stepped on someone’s foot in practice and then the other one is because I came back so fast from this one. So, I’m not going to beat myself up about it.
“I’m probably over the course of my career one of the healthiest players in the league and that’s not really going to change. I’m going to show up every day and do what I can to help my team win.”

Although not providing a definitive yes, Plum did seem to hint at a return as the Sparks hope to end their two-game losing streak.
