A particular WWE star is perfectly capable of holding a World title right now, according to AJ Styles.

The Phenomenal One was one of the most famous names to retire from in-ring wrestling in recent history. Since then, he has opened a podcast, where he talks about the pro wrestling scene. He recently talked about LA Knight, and how the former United States Champion was skilled enough to be considered for a World title run.

Speaking on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, Styles stated:

“I do hope he (LA Knight) gets to be a world champion. I really think he has earned it. His mic work is pretty freaking awesome, so I’d like to see – He’s a guy that can hold a heavyweight championship, no problem. He’s got the mouth to back it up. I’d like to see it happen. The reality is we’ve got a lot of guys who are getting to that point where time’s coming and it waits for no one. So if we’re going to do something, let’s do it. Let’s get it done. I’d like to see some heavyweight champions that we haven’t seen before.”

AJ Styles recently talked about his work with Vince McMahon in WWE

Despite the current situation that Vince McMahon is in, AJ Styles is appreciative of the former WWE CEO.

Speaking on another episode of his podcast, Styles stated that he did not have a close relationship with McMahon. Nevertheless, he did appreciate McMahon as a boss:

“So it was neither good or bad working for Vince. He gave me a chance to be AJ Styles in WWE and a two-time World Heavyweight Champion. So what am I to complain about? We were not hanging out after work. I promise you that. He’s not the kind of person that I’d probably hang out with. But he was my boss, and he gave me an opportunity. I can appreciate that,” he said.

AJ Styles is currently retired, and is unlikely to be in the ring anytime soon.
