Micah Parsons has seen the 2026 NBA Finals end, and he has claimed to find a major reason why it panned out the way it did.
During Game 5 on Saturday, San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper scored 25 points in 31 minutes off the bench. However, he was a non-factor in the endgame, as Victor Wembanyama missed a three-point attempt to confirm a 90-94 loss that clinched the New York Knicks’ first title in 53 years.
Thanks for the submission!
As soon as the final buzzer sounded, Parsons took to social media to rip into head coach Mitch Johnson for limiting his guard when it mattered most:

“Sometimes you gotta make hard decision as a coach! Them not handing Harper the keys for this playoff just just cost them a championship!”

This comes three days after he tore into the Spurs for losing to the Knicks in Game despite being up by 29 points — the biggest blown lead in NBA Finals history. At the time, he wrote:
“(De’Aaron) Fox going up with that shot is like ending the game with a pick and fumbling it!! Like wow!! I’m disgusted rn!”
Micah Parsons backs Lukas Van Ness ahead of 2026 season
Back to the subject of football, Micah Parsons is expected to have a new partner beside him in 2026.
At the start of the offseason, the Green Bay Packers traded Rashan Gary to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round draft pick. One person who could assume his starting spot is 2023 first-round pick Lukas Van Ness, who has been mainly a rotational and depth piece through his career.
Addressing the media for the first time since his injury recently, Parsons expressed support for Van Ness:
“Luke is someone that people sleep on the most, and I don’t know why. I think by the end of the season, if Luke stays healthy, he’ll probably be the (fan) favorite. That’s how much confidence I have in him. I believe in him, I think sometimes he listens to (the media) and that gets to him, but I think he can be as great as he wants to be.”
The Packers begin their season at the Minnesota Vikings on September 13. Kickoff is at 3:25 pm CT on CBS.
