There are a lot of items that you need to acquire in Solarpunk. Some of them are easily available while others take a little effort. Wheat is a very important item both for trading and maintaining your farm animals. However, getting this crop will take some upgrades and trading. Wheat is available on the islands closer to your starting location but getting there is the challenging part.

This article will feature a detailed guide on how you can get wheat in Solarpunk and how you can use it the proper way to get the most out of it.

Keeping and sustaining your animals is key to survival in the game. A crucial component of this process is having a good supply of wheat as it is required to make animal feed in the game. When you open your map, you will notice there are two islands very close to you. Wheat can be found in both the islands but reaching there requires an upgraded airship.

Your airship level needs to be at level two to reach the nearby islands. This means that you need to first trade some items with the Tradebots to get the upgrade. Start with collecting watermelon, beeswax, cotton and copper. You need a total of:

    • 14 watermelon
    • 12 cotton
    • 20 beeswax
    • 32 copper

As you keep trading with the Tradebot, you will get blueprints which are needed for the upgrades. The blueprints can be used in the energy workbench to get items such as solar panels needed to power the airship. Once all the blueprints are acquired and you have upgraded your airship, head over to the other islands to find wheat. Collect as many as you can along with some seeds.

Also, make sure you get as much quartz as possible as it is needed to make silicon which is required for trading. Silicon unlocks items such as battery, energy furnace, animal transport, advanced dock, etc.

Wheat is something you will need all the time because it is required to make animal feed as well as trading. You can get a lot of important items from trading wheat. Chickens also require wheat seeds to feed on and they give eggs which is important for getting ahead in the game.
