Singapore host Mongolia at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Kallang on Sunday for an international friendly game.

Neither side has qualified for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup but Singapore are looking forward to the ASEAN Championship in July.

Ranked 147th in the world, Singapore cruised to a 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualification after going through the third round unbeaten.

In six games, the Lions won four times and drew twice while collecting 14 points to finish as group winners ahead of Hong Kong.

Head coach Gavin Lee has called up 28 players for this month’s double-header against Mongolia and China, including talismanic skipper Hariss Harun, who is set to become Singapore’s all-time appearance-maker with 148 caps.

Prolific forward Ikhsan Fandi, who has netted 22 goals in 47 games, has also been summoned.

Meanwhile, the Mongolians are set to play their first official game in over a year. In fact, the Blue Wolves were last seen in action on 10 September 2024 in an AFC Asian Cup qualifer.

Singapore vs Mongolia Head-To-Head and Key Numbers

    Singapore vs Mongolia Prediction

The Lions are the favorites on paper given the gulf in quality between the sides. Singapore are on a roll here and since they are competing in the upcoming ASEAN Championship, will be looking build some momentum under their belt.

As for Mongolia, the central Asian minnows haven’t played a game in one-and-a-half years, which is too long without gametime. This lack of match practice makes even more difficult to see them get anything out of this fixture.

    Prediction: Singapore 2-0 Mongolia
