Twitch and Kick streamer Zack “Asmongold” has expressed “zero sympathy” for Hasan “HasanAbi” after the latter was served with a federal subpoena, stating that “what goes around comes around.” For those unaware, HasanAbi made headlines on May 23, 2026, when reports surfaced indicating that the United States’ Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued subpoenas to HasanAbi and Medea Benjamin regarding their March 2026 trip to Cuba.

According to reports, OFAC’s subpoenas are aimed at determining whether the Twitch political commentator violated the sanctions against Cuba.

During a livestream on May 24, 2026, Asmongold commented on the Turkish-American personality’s recent situation and explained why he had “zero sympathy” for him.

    He said:

“The thing is that I have zero sympathy for Hasan because he regularly and all the time misframes, and then intentionally misunderstands other people’s positions in order to make them look bad. He does this constantly. So now the government might be doing it to you. So, it’s like, you’ve been doing this to everybody all the time. You constantly call anybody who disagrees with you ‘Israel’s strongest soldier,’ or you know, ‘Israel lover,’ or something like that. It’s not even really true.”

    The Austin, Texas-based streamer added:

“So, whenever you’ve made entire, like, basically, an internet career out of mislabeling and misunderstanding things, then I’m not going to feel too bad about it. Right? I mean, you shouldn’t have done it. You know, it doesn’t feel too good. Yeah, what goes around, comes around.”

HasanAbi says the situation is “not good” after OFAC issued a subpoena against him over his March 2026 Cuba trip

During a Just Chatting livestream on May 24, 2026, HasanAbi spoke up about OFAC issuing a federal subpoena against him. While responding to his fans who were “looking for a silver lining in this situation,” the 34-year-old stated that “there is no world where having to deal with a federal case is a good moment.”

    He elaborated:

“‘You can’t pay for this kind of publicity, fam.’ Okay, guys, I’ll be honest – I prefer not to have this publicity. Okay? I know some of you are looking for a silver lining in this situation, but this is not good. Okay? There is no world where having to deal with, like, a federal case is actually a ‘good’ moment. I would much rather not have to deal with this at all. Okay?”

HasanAbi made headlines on May 18, 2026, when he stated that the United Kingdom “might legitimately ban him from entering” the country.
