Adam Copeland has just seemingly hinted at several former WWE Superstars making their way to AEW eventually. He noted that they would end up as great assets for the company.

The Rated-R Superstar has been with the promotion for around two and a half years, following his debut at WrestleDream 2023. He has had a great run with the company despite being plagued with injuries, and is even a former TNT Champion. He has reunited with long-time tag team partner Christian Cage, as they are now in pursuit of the tag team titles.

While speaking to Westwood One Sports, Adam Copeland claimed that AEW’s tag team division was the best in the world. He spoke about how there was an endless number of potential matchups you could make, and how potentially having the likes of New Day and Motor City Machine Guns come in would further prove his point.

“When you look at this tag team division, to me, there’s no question this is the best tag team division in the world. And you just look at all of the possible matches and it’s just like, man, it really is like a murderers’ row of tag teams. And then if you were to throw in teams like the New Day and Motor City Machine Guns on top of that, like, come on.”

Adam Copeland also mentioned how this was a type of roster where you had established tag teams and unlikely duos who equally put on a show.

“You look at this roster and you can get like two handfuls of really great teams, let alone teams that don’t necessarily always team like the Hurt Syndicate or JetSpeed, and you chuck those into the mix too and it’s like, come on. It’s awesome.” [H/T WrestlePurists on X]

Adam Copeland confirms his future with AEW

During his recent appearance on The Rise Guys Morning Show, Adam Copeland spoke about this current point of his career and how going to AEW was a no-brainer decision for him.

He mentioned how getting to work with people he was close to, like Christian Cage and FTR, and getting to work with those he had never worked with before made this a great experience for him. With this, he spoke about wanting to end his career with the company.

“For me, at this stage, that was really the exciting thing, a really cool thing, in coming to AEW. It was a whole roster of people that I’d never, never worked with. I was super excited, you know, not only is my best friend there, and then at that point, you know, FTR as well. I’m like, it’s a no-brainer for me to go there, finish my career there, wrestling an entirely new roster of people. It’s tough, you know, when you get this far into a career, you don’t wanna phone it in. And for me, that new roster was like a guarantee for that not to happen.”

Adam Copeland has done a lot of things since signing with the company, and he looks to be far from done. This will be the final chapter of his career, and he seems to be making the most of it all.
