She also admitted that the postpartum phase has put her in an emotionally “vulnerable state.”
She revealed she is currently reading The First 40 Days, which was gifted to her by actress Ayo Edebiri. The book is practically a “postpartum emergency kit” for the Hollywood star which she reads daily.
“There’s a paragraph early on that talks about how even forty days after giving birth, you’re still in such a vulnerable state,” Steinfeld wrote. “People understand that about your new baby, but they don’t understand that about you, the mom.”
She added that she is focusing on healing “physically, mentally, nutritionally, spiritually, all of it.”
Amid the struggles, Steinfeld feels “newborn struggles are unmatched.”
She also said her mother, Cheri Steinfeld, has been an “angel.” Cheri is caring for the “Sinners” star while she cares for her baby.

Hailee Steinfeld announced her pregnancy on Dec. 12. She shared the news in her Beau Society newsletter as part of a roundup celebrating her 29th birthday.
It was a short video her and Josh Allen, posing in the snow and showing off her baby bump.
