In Palworld, dark type pals are the only way to handle neutral pals even with their weakness to dragon types. Dark pals are great for some of their unique Partner Skills which assist the player in many ways. This can be in the form of power boosts, to either your pals or your weapons. Or they can help out in catching other pals. Or they can just be powerful regardless of their Partner Skill.
So in this article we will take a look at the best dark pal in Palworld 1.0.
Best dark pals in Palworld 1.0
1) Xenolord

Also one of the best dragons in the game, Xenolord is really good for late game bosses. It has an exclusive Passive Skill called Invader which gives this monster a 30% damage boost to both dragon and dark moves used by it. Additionally, its Partner Skill Meteor Wings allows the pal you are using in battles to deal more damage if you use a weapon with bullets.
2) Solenne

One of the standout new pals from the 1.0 Palworld update, Solenne has been very popular among players. This is mainly because of its Partner Skill Untainted Maiden. If all the critters in your party are different species, Solenne’s Partner Skill gives the player an attack boost. This starts at 30% and can be upgraded to as high as 80%.
3) Wispaw

Wispaw is very useful for a very different reason: catching pals. Thanks to its Partner Skill, Death-Cheating Feline, the catch rate of a Pal Sphere gets a boost as long as you throw the ball and hit the creature in the back.
4) Loomen

If you are looking to run a bow and arrow build in Palworld, you will want Loomis in your party. This is because of its Partner Skill, Lantern Enchantment. When Loomen is in your party, your arrows will explode on contact with their target. This will deal at least 15% explosive damage and can be boosted up to 30%.
5) Frostallion Noct

Frostallion Noct is all about dealing dark type damage in Palworld. This pegasus has two Passive Skills, one of them being Legend which provides a stat boost. However, its the other one Lord of the Underworld (shared with one other pal who may be appearing on this list) that puts it over the edge as dark-type attacker thanks to a 30% dark attack boost.
And that’s not all. Its Partner Skill Black Steed makes all the player’s attacks dark type, gives them an attack boost (from 10% up to 40%), and inflicts the blind status condition. This makes it one of the best pals for combat.
6) Dandilord

Another status spreader, Dandilord focuses on poisoning its opponents. Its Partner Skill Mist Stalwart stacks poison on its targets when activated (from two stacks up to six). That’s not all as Dandilord also protects you and your pals from poison. This extends up to the toxic gas in the World Tree map in Palworld.
7) Necromus

Necromus has one of the most unique Partner Skills in Palworld 1.0. Dark Knight of the Abyss works in tandem with this centaur’s unique Active Skill, Twin Spears. When Twin Spears is activated, if you have the pal Paladius in your party, it will show up and attack. Hence, the “twin” part of Twin Spears.
It is also the other pal with the Passive Skill Lord of the Underworld, getting that 30% boost to its dark attacks. And just like Frostallion Noct, it gets access to the Legend Passive Skill as well for a general boost.
