Tesla Cybertruck owner believed Elon Musk when he said it could cross a lake — now he’s in jail
A Tesla Cybertruck owner drove his electric pickup truck into Grapevine Lake in Texas to test the vehicle’s “Wade Mode” feature. The Cybertruck became disabled in the water and the driver was arrested. The incident is the latest in a growing list of Cybertruck owners taking Elon Musk’s claims about the vehicle’s water capabilities too seriously — and paying the price for it. The Grapevine Police Department shared the incident on social media today. The Best Sailing Cruises for Travelers Who Want the Romance of a Tall Ship Without Sacrificing Modern Luxuries
My first multiday sailing trip, a bareboat charter in Tahiti, sounded like some idyllic dream. My then-boyfriend (now husband) loved every gust of wind, and every stretch of blue ocean. I hated the tight spaces aboard the 42-foot sloop and quickly got bored.Since then, in a somewhat surprising turn of events, sailing cruises have become one of my favorite holidays. Roomier ships offer plenty of deck space, comfortable cabins, and stability on the sea. A crew hoists the sails, roasts the filet mignon, and pops the cork on the bubbly. And with powerful Wi-Fi, I always have plenty to read. For…

Kickstarter just killed its new mature content rules
Last week, we noted Kickstarter’s new content guidelines, which had some pretty weird new additions, including a prohibition on “sexual wellness products that are not designed for insertion or penetration and are not marketed primarily for sexual gratification.” Those rules have now been eliminated and the company has restored an earlier version of its guidelines. The updates to the rules were primarily driven by requirements from our payments processor, Stripe. Stripe operates under its own legal and compliance requirements separate from Kickstarter’s own rules. And even Stripe’s rules are dictated by a larger system shaped by financial institutions that govern how…
