India’s small businesses are expanding, with the number of unincorporated establishments rising 16.7% to 9.2 crores in the January-March quarter from 7.9 crores in the same period last year, driven by stronger activity in rural areas, according to the quarterly bulletin of the unincorporated sector enterprises (QBUSE) released Thursday.
