The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will issue the final NEET UG counselling 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result shortly after revising the provisional allotment list following an error in uploading a PwD certificate. The revised provisional result was released by the committee, while the number of seats allotted in Round 1 remains unchanged. The final seat allotment result is expected to be released as per the revised counselling schedule.

    The notice read:

“The Provisional Result has been revised due to an error in the uploading of the PwD Certificate by the Primary Assessment Centre. Candidates are advised to carefully check their revised provisional result.”

MCC has reopened the candidate grievance facility following the revision. Candidates who have been allotted seats and have any concerns regarding the revised result can submit their grievances through the login facility on the official MCC website.

The Round 1 allotment includes 29,945 MBBS and BDS seats. Candidates can check the revised allotment result through the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in, once the final result is uploaded.

NEET UG Counselling 2026 revised schedule

As per the revised counselling timeline, the Round 1 seat allotment process was followed by a revision of the provisional result after the PwD certificate-related error was identified. The final seat allotment result is scheduled to be released shortly, around August 21, following the completion of the grievance process.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 will then have to complete the required admission and reporting formalities within the stipulated timeline. Those who have not been allotted a seat can participate in subsequent rounds of NEET UG counselling by filling in and locking their preferences as per the schedule.

What is the PwD certificate issue?

MCC said the provisional result had to be revised because of an error in uploading a PwD certificate by the Primary Assessment Centre. Candidates have therefore been advised to check their revised provisional allotment carefully before proceeding with admission.

The development comes after the National Medical Commission (NMC) revised the rules governing PwBD admissions for MBBS courses. Medical assessment boards examining PwBD candidates are required to issue detailed written orders on their assessment. Candidates can also challenge these orders before the authority under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The revised PwD-related process is being implemented during this year’s NEET UG counselling and affects candidates seeking admission under the PwBD category.
