Manchester City are close to an agreement with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Qadsiah for the transfer of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, as per reports. The Netherlands international has been linked with an exit after failing to start regularly since joining the club.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have advanced in negotiations with Al-Qadsiah for a permanent move for Reijnders. The Saudi outfit are prepared to pay around €60 million to beat other sides to the signature of the 28-year-old. Reijnders has yet to approve a move to Saudi Arabia, and the deal hinges on his acceptance of the destination for his career.

Reijnders joined Manchester City last summer from AC Milan and hit the ground running for Pep Guardiola’s side before eventually running out of steam and losing his place in the manager’s preferred XI. He ended up making 50 appearances across all competitions, contributing seven goals and seven assists.
The Cityzens have brought in England international Elliot Anderson this summer, and while not a direct replacement, he has pushed Reijnders further down the pecking order. This has resulted in City making him available for a transfer, and he was considered by Nottingham Forest, who are still to replace Anderson.
Al-Qadsiah appear to have jumped to the front of the queue for the talented midfielder, as they look to challenge for the Saudi Pro League title this season. They finished fourth in the league in the 2025-26 season and wish fo close the gap to the likes of Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal.

Manchester City have been given an ultimatum by Chelsea as they look to sign midfielder Enzo Fernandez, as per reports. The Cityzens have been linked with the 26-year-old, who appears keen to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea have slapped a £120 million price tag on Fernandez and are unwilling to do a deal for lower. They have also informed City and the midfielder’s representatives that the opportunity to buy him is valid until Friday, August 14, after which the door will be closed.
City boss Enzo Maresca is keen on a reunion with the midfielder, one of the stalwarts of his Chelsea side. He was previously linked with Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants decided against pursuing a deal due to his high valuation.
The Blues will be happy to keep him, seeing as he is their captain and an influential figure. They will, however, also be happy to receive a significant sum for his transfer of Manchester City are willing to make it happen.
