Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro, reacted as Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez shared a picture of their wedding rings on Instagram. The duo got married on Tuesday (August 1!) in a private ceremony in Lisbon.

The 41-year-old was in a relationship with Georgina for over a decade since meeting in 2016 when Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid. Since then, Georgina has followed her boyfriend to Italy, England and now Saudi Arabia, where the five-time Ballon d’Or winner currently plays with Al-Nassr.

In a joint Instagram post by Ronaldo and Georgina, the couple shared a picture of their wedding rings. Katia responded to the post with two heart emojis.

Here’s the screenshot of her comment:

The post has been liked over 24 million times, attracted nearly 100K comments and has been resposted nearly 800K times.

As per ESPN, Ronaldo and Georgina got married in the coastal resort town of Cascais, located about 32 km from Lisbon, in an intimate ceremony attended by the five children the couple co-parent.

Ronaldo’s marriage comes exactly a year after the couple had announced their engagement, on August 11, 2025, and just four days before Al-Nassr open their Saudi Pro League title defence at home to Al-Fateh.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his longtime girlfriend and now wife Georgina Rodriguez co-parent five children. Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., was born in 2010, with the mother’s identity not publicly known.

Twins Eva Maria Ronaldo and Mateo Ronaldo were born to a surrogate in June 2017, while Georgina gave birth to Alana Martina in November 2017. Georgina also gave birth to twins Bella Esmeralda and Angel in April 2022, but Angel, unfortunately, died during childbirth.

The family resides in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where they have been staying since Ronaldo’s arrival in the Kingdom nearly four years ago. Ronaldo‘s eldest son is also a forward and plays for Al-Nassr’s youth side.
