The inquiry committee report into allegations against Justice Yashwant Varma was tabled in both Houses of Parliament on Wednesday, months after the three-member panel submitted its findings to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
The reports were laid separately in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha by the respective secretaries general. The inquiry report comprises two volumes and includes oral and documentary evidence collected during the investigation.
Justice Varma faced allegations following the alleged discovery of unaccounted cash at his official residence after a fire broke out there on the night of March 14, 2025. Firefighters responding to the blaze reportedly found large quantities of burnt currency in a storeroom.
