The Cook Out 400 marks the 24th race of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season after an Iowa Corn 350. The event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 15, at Richmond Raceway, and the green flag will drop at 7 pm ET.
Richmond Raceway is a 0.75-mile-long track that features 14 degrees of banking in turns, eight degrees of banking in the frontstretch, and two degrees of banking in the backstretch. Thirty-seven drivers have entered for the 2026 Cook Out 400 on the Richmond track.

Heading to Richmond Raceway, Joe Gibbs Racing driver and points leader Denny Hamlin is the favorite, per the odds table, at +400 odds to win this year’s Cook Out 400, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Hamlin has five wins at this racetrack.
Hamlin’s teammate Christopher Bell stands in second place in the odds table at +550 to win this weekend’s race. Bell is coming off a back-to-back runner-up finish.
They are followed by Ryan Blaney at +600, Joey Logano at +650, and the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson at +750 in the top five highest odds to win the Cook Out 400. Larson won this event in 2017.
The defending winner of the event, Auston Dillon, and last week’s Iowa race winner, Ty Gibbs tied for the sixth-highest odds at +1000 to win on Sunday. Dillon has back-to-back wins here.
Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott holds seventh position in the odds table at +1500.
