Juiced doubles down with 120-mile range e-bike on dual-battery Scrambler Hardtail

When Juiced Bikes unveiled its new generation of Scrambler models earlier this summer, the company hinted that an even longer-range version was on the way. Now it’s here.

Juiced has officially launched the dual-battery version of its Scrambler Hardtail, giving riders a claimed range of up to 120 miles (200 km) while keeping the same moped-style design that has made the Scrambler one of the company’s signature models – and the first model to relaunch the brand’s second act.

The new setup essentially doubles down on what many riders already liked about the 52V bike. A second battery mounted beneath the frame boosts total battery capacity to 38.4 Ah, helping push the claimed maximum range to 120 miles (200 km) under ideal riding conditions. That should make range anxiety all but disappear for commuters, weekend explorers, or anyone who just likes taking the scenic route home.

Of course, very few riders are actually going to pedal for 120 miles in a single outing. That number is based on ideal conditions with conservative riding. But the bigger takeaway isn’t necessarily the headline range figure – it’s the freedom that comes with having enough battery capacity that you can stop worrying about it altogether.

And even for riders who don’t intend to keep the bike in its lowest power mode to eke out that full 120 miles of range, the 1,996 Wh of capacity from those two batteries is going to provide plenty of high-power throttle riding, too.

Dual batteries offer twice the range

The bike still uses the same 1,764W peak rear hub motor found on the standard Hardtail Scrambler and meets the same legal requirements for Class 2 or Class 3 operation, meaning riders aren’t getting extra speed, but they are getting a lot more time in the saddle before needing to recharge.

Juiced is currently offering the dual-battery Hardtail Scrambler for $1,999, a $245 discount from its listed MSRP. The company is also throwing in a handful of accessories, including fenders, a handlebar bag, bar pad, headplate, custom nameplate, and stickers.

I recently had the chance to spend time riding and reviewing the new Scrambler lineup, and one of the things that stood out most was how well these bikes blend classic minibike styling with genuinely useful everyday performance. The Hardtail version skips rear suspension in favor of a simpler, lighter frame, though the large 20×4-inch tires still do a respectable job of soaking up rough pavement. And since its geometry has been carried over from the full-suspension version, it still rides like a well thought out, powerful e-bike – not a random Amazon frame with a motor strapped on.

With a second battery, you’ll never let your girl see your range anxiety

For riders who regularly rack up serious mileage or simply hate charging, the dual-battery Scrambler looks like a compelling new option.

At under $2,000, it also undercuts many other long-range e-bikes while bringing a unique moto-inspired style that has become something of a Juiced trademark.
