Zack Peter has slammed Matt Wallace’s claims against Perez Hilton after his recent breakdown. Wallace claimed that Hilton’s kids need another parent, especially a mother.

On August 4, Perez Hilton made a TikTok video in which he appeared to harm himself, with distressing visuals showing blood around him. Users called the authorities, and the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) responded to the call. The podcaster was then taken to a nearby hospital, with emergency responders and mental health professionals in attendance.

Amidst concern for Hilton online, people were also concerned about his three kids: Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8. The authorities confirmed that the three kids weren’t in the home at the time of the incident (via PEOPLE).

Reacting to this incident, Matt Wallace wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, August 5:

“Perez Hilton has 3 children and all came through surrogacy. Meaning none of them have ever known what it is like to have a mother. As Perez suffers an extreme mental breakdown tonight, they have no other parent to turn to.”

“Alone, scared, and in desperate need of their mothers… who are never coming. Regardless of how you feel about him… please pray for these children! Their names are Mario, Mia, and Mayte,” he added.

Podcaster Zack Peter, however, slammed Wallace, writing in response:

“Using his kids for engagement is gross. Using his kids & mental health like this for political brownie points to take a jab at surrogacy right now is GROSS. His mother lives w/ them & they are currently in her care. My thoughts & prayers are with his family. You sir, are gross”

Hilton’s three kids were born through a surrogate. They recently moved to Miami with the podcaster to be closer to their mother, Teresita Lavandeira.

In June this year, Perez Hilton announced that he is moving to Miami from Las Vegas with his three kids. He revealed that it is so that they can be closer to their mother, Teresita Lavandeira.

However, the podcaster also revealed that he was initially struggling with the move. In a YouTube video, he explained:

“I was in a bit of a spiral, because I was overwhelmed with our move to Miami and I didn’t do these things that I know are good for me.”

He added that he has been putting in the “effort” for his mental and physical health, like going to the gym, getting closer to his faith, and performing service in church. He said:

“I was a little bit anxious, but more soothed and inspired and centered than anything.”

Notably, in March this year, Hilton was hospitalized after his health deteriorated. He revealed that he took medication without food for the flu, which led to ulcers. They spread to his stomach and intestines, leading to perforation and even sepsis.

The podcaster underwent surgery and revealed that he couldn’t walk initially after his treatment. He said that he was in the hospital for 21 days and faced “excruciating pain.”
