EA FC 27 is only a few months away from launch, and there are some exciting new leaks available for football fans. If you love personalizing your virtual avatar on the digital pitch, the latest leak is definetly for you. A reliable leaker just dropped a massive hint about a returning mechanic that could completely change how we experience the upcoming title.

EA FC 27 is leaked to feature Cranium PhotoFit to bring your real face to the game

According to a recent X post from the prominent tipster FutSheriff, a new technology called Cranium PhotoFit would be introduced in the upcoming EA FC 27. This rumored tool will allow you to scan your actual face and have it fully recreated in the football game. Imagine scoring a crucial UCL-winning goal and seeing your exact likeness celebrating on your screen.

There isn’t much information available about how the Cranium PhotoFit will work within EA FC 27. Moreover, the insider leak did not reveal which specific game modes will support this amazing addition. If I have to guess, this feature might be limited to Career Mode and the upcoming new The Grounds mode.

This new leak might sound quite revolutionary to many EA FC 27 fans, but veteran players will remember a very similar concept from over a decade ago. If you played older titles ranging from FIFA 10 to FIFA 16, you might remember the now-discontinued GameFace feature. It was incredibly popular among the FIFA (now EA FC) community back in the day.

The GameFace tool allowed you to effortlessly create a custom face tailored for your Career Mode playthrough. The process involved visiting a dedicated EA website and manually uploading front and side view photos of your face or another person’s. The system would map your features and let you download the scanned face directly into the game to build your personal avatar.

While the GameFace has been absent for over a decade, the rumored Cranium PhotoFit looks exactly like its modern spiritual successor. Undoubtedly, it would be fun to play FC 27 as yourself with your real face. This is only a leak so far, and you should take it with a grain of salt. If EA Sports makes it official, I will update you on it and will even show you the way to use it.
