Mercedes Mone was all praise for a WWE up-and-comer after the latter posted some photographs of herself from SummerSlam 2026. The star in question, Lash Legend, had the opportunity to score a major championship win this past Sunday.
On the July 31 edition of Friday Night Smackdown, the “Boujee Bully” scored a shockingly swift victory over Giulia to qualify for a Ladder Match to crown the Interim WWE Women’s Champion on Night 2 of SummerSlam. At the Premium Live Event last Sunday, Lash was unable to capture the belt despite an impressive showing, as the victory and the title ultimately went to the upset winner, Chelsea Green.
Days after SummerSlam 2026, several hours ago, the 29-year-old star took to her Instagram profile to share a few backstage photographs of herself from the event. Her pictures elicited complimentary responses not just from fans, but from many of her industry peers as well, including a message from AEW megastar Mercedes Mone. The former TBS Champion summed up her praise for Lash in one word, writing:
“Yummy,” commented Mercedes.
It remains to be seen what lies next for Lash Legend on WWE programming.
What has Mercedes Mone been up to lately in AEW?
The last time she was seen in action, Mercedes Mone teamed with her new allies, The Divine Dominion, to defeat Hyan, Maya World and Willow Nightingale in trios competition on the July 15 edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite. Later that month at Redemption 2026, The CEO watched from the audience as The Babe with The Power dethroned “The Toxic Spider” Thekla to become the new AEW Women’s World Champion.
Last week on AEW Dynamite, Mercedes interrupted Willow’s victory celebration to make her sign the official contract for their now-official Women’s World Title match at All In: London this month. This led to a war of words between the AEW Women’s Champion and the 2026 Women’s Owen Cup winner, until Megan Bayne and Lena Kross arrived to put the boots on Nightingale alongside Mone, a beatdown which continued until The Brawling Birds made the save.
It remains to be seen whether Willow will be able to retain her belt against The Boss at Wembley Stadium.
