    WWE reportedly has some major twists planned for a match tonight at SummerSlam. Night 2 of the PLE will air live tonight from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota.

    It was reported earlier today that the number one contender’s match between Sami Zayn and Finn Balor will be kicking off tonight’s show. According to a new report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, the company has several twists planned for the match. The winner of the bout will earn an Undisputed WWE Championship match against CM Punk.

    “There is a major storyline development planned in the Finn Balor vs. Sami Zayn match tonight,” he writes. “The current plan is that the match will be changed and there will be several twists in that match. Last night’s hype for Punk vs. Gunther was meant as a swerve and likely for the future but not right away but it was done last night for a reason that will become clear very soon,” he wrote.     Major Twist Planned for Finn Bálor vs. Sami Zayn at WWE SummerSlam

    CM Punk defeated Cody Rhodes during Night 1 of SummerSlam to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. Randy Orton made his return for the first time since losing to The American Nightmare at WrestleMania and hit Rhodes with an RKO. Punk capitalized with a GTS to retain the title at the PLE. The Second City Saint did not see that Orton interfered in the match until after the bell.

    Major WWE name teases bright future for Sami Zayn

    RAW announcer Michael Cole recently shared an interesting tease regarding Sami Zayn’s future.

    The Last Real Good Guy held the Undisputed WWE Championship for nine days before losing it to CM Punk last month. Speaking on The Sal Licata Show, Cole discussed Zayn losing the title and teased that fans would be happy about the company’s plans for him.

    “We always ask our viewers to just try to be patient because we are going to get there. We do 52 weeks of television for Monday Night RAW and the same thing for SmackDown you know every single year. It’s live TV every single week. Sometimes storylines might not progress as fast as our audience wants them to. Audience can have all the views they want. We can’t do this without them. Be critical about it. Voice your opinions about it. I think people are really going to enjoy where the Sami Zayn story is going to go over the next couple of months,” he said. (H/T: Cory Hays)
