    Jake Paul: “He’s not a fighter”

    Usman Nurmagomedov defended his PFL lightweight title at the recent PFL New York event with a fantastic performance.

    The cousin of UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov put on a show as he dismantled his rival, Archie Colgan in the first round of their clash.

    The 28-year-old Usman won the fight via KO, and continued his unbeaten run in his MMA career. While there have been many claiming he could be moving to the UFC since his contract ends with the PFL after this fight, Khabib’s cousin hasn’t said much.

    That cannot be said for Jake Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ was present at the event and part of the in-ring crowd after Usman retained his title.

    While Paul spoke a lot about Usman defeating UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, the current PFL champ didn’t see ‘The Problem Child’ as a fighter.

    Speaking to reporters after the fight, Usman shared his honest take on Paul:

    “Like a promoter, he talk too much, of course. Like a fighter, he’s not a fighter. He’s not a fighter, he’s a YouTuber guy. He come from YouTube…a lot of money…if you want to see fighter, come to my gym.”

    When asked about Paul’s comment about Usman beating Gaethje, the PFL champion heaped praise on his UFC rival:

    “When somebody doesn’t give the respect for Justin [Gaethje], this is not good. Justin Gaethje is a legend. Really happy he is champion right now. I wish all the best to Justin.”

    Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) recently merged with the PFL, and ‘The Problem Child’ was doing all he can to hype up his stars.

    While Usman Nurmagomedov’s future is in doubt, Paul believed Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin is the best lightweight in the world.

    During the post-fight interview, Paul took the microphone and had this to say about Usman:

    “He is the best in the f**king world. He’s the best in the world. Justin Gaethje is over there. Honestly, I think he would make light work of Gaethje. I love you, Justin, but…”
