Darren Till recently shared his thoughts on Ian Machado Garry and explained his disdain for the Irishman.
Garry is one of the most exciting fighters to watch in the UFC welterweight division and is widely known for his flashy fighting style. However, the Irishman also possesses a unique gift of the gab, one that may not be everybody’s cup of tea.
Ahead of his BKFC clash against Yoel Romero in September, Till made it clear that he wasn’t a fan of Garry. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, the former UFC star admitted that he admired Garry’s skills in the cage and added:
“You know what? I sort of… like to take people as they are and stuff like that. You know, met him a few times. I just think he’s a f**king fantastic fighter. Honestly, it’s just one guy. I just see right through him. I just think he’s fake as f**k. I just think he’s really fake. You just f**king see right through this. He’s got like this whole act.”

Garry is set to face Islam Makhachev in a welterweight title clash in the main event of UFC 330 next month. He’s coming off an impressive unanimous decision win over Belal Muhammad at UFC Qatar last November.
Chris Weidman gets honest about Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Machado Garry
Chris Weidman recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Machado Garry clash.
In an appearance on the Deep Waters podcast, the UFC icon claimed that Makhachev’s wrestling will be too much for Garry to handle and said:
“I think this is going to be a really stressful fight for Ian Garry, though. I don’t think he’s going to be as comfortable. He’s going to be sh****** his pants about the takedown because he sees how good Islam is on the ground, and Islam is going to throw hard on the feet too.”
