2-Time WWE Universal Champion Can’t Believe Nick Aldis is Younger Than Him

This WWE star was shocked to learn something he had no idea of earlier, and it’s about SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.

Former WWE World Champion Seth Rollins recently learned that Nick Aldis was younger than him and was surprised to hear this little fact.

Aldis has been in a heated rivalry with Gunther after Gunther blamed the Englishman for his two back-to-back losses in WWE Title matches. This has led to a match between the pair at SummerSlam in which Aldis will lace his wrestling boots again for the first time in over 3 years, following his last stint with NWA, which ended in 2022. Aldis was Magnus in TNA before that, and he will make his wrestling debut in WWE on one of its grandest stages.

Seth Rollins, who is set to face Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Title at the event, recently talked about the Aldis vs. Gunther match on Busted Open. He revealed that he was most excited to see this match because there was a mystery to it, as no one in WWE has seen Aldis without a suit or even pull off a wrestling move on screen so far.

“You know, I think anytime anybody’s coming off of a long hiatus and has never really laced up the boots inside a WWE ring, there’s a ton of intrigue, and so actually, the Gunther-Aldis match is one that kind of has my attention. The other ones, you kinda know what you’re gonna get. I don’t mean that in a bad way. You know that Hell in a Cell’s probably gonna be a war, you know what you’re gonna get with Punk and Cody. You’ve seen them at their peak. I think there’s the mystery of what does Nick Aldis have in the tank…,” Rollins said.

Rollins also notes that the English wrestler is not even 40 years old and that he was surprised to learn that he was younger than the Visionary.

“Now we see Aldis in the shirt every week on Friday. He looks fantastic, he looks full, the chest, he looks great, and he’s not even 40 years old. He’s still younger than I am actually which shocked me. I didn’t know that. Let’s see what he’s got. It’s really his WWE debut and it’s on a massive stage so, I’m really looking forward to seeing that, ” concluded Rollins.

Gunther and Nick Aldis signed a contract for their bout at SummerSlam.

The rivalry between Nick Aldis and Gunther began when a bitter Gunther called Aldis a “failed wrestler” and accused him of sabotaging Gunther’s chances at winning the WWE Title because he was “jealous” of him.

A backstage push and shove after Night of Champions led the two men to be suspended temporarily. Gunther later attacked Aldis on SmackDown and choked him out with a Sleeperhold. Aldis had his receipt ready at Saturday Night’s Event when Aldis hit Gunther over the head with the WWE Championship belt, costing him a chance to be in the WWE Title match between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.

The two men signed a contract for the match last Friday on SmackDown, and the segment was presided over by the stand-in SmackDown General Manager Adam Pearce.

Once the contract was signed, Aldis tried to initiate a brawl, but Gunther had the upper hand, eventually powebombing Aldis through the contract signing table.

It would be fascinating to see what Nick Aldis has in his locker when he faces the Ring General at the Biggest Party of the Summer this weekend.
