IndiGo issued an advisory saying Delhi flights are being impacted due to heavy rains in the national capital. “We recommend checking your flight status on our website or app before heading out. Also, please allow extra time for your commute, as slow-moving traffic may affect road travel en route to the airport,” it said.
Meanwhile, Akasa Air warned of potential flight delays.”Due to heavy rainfall in Delhi some flights across our network may be delayed. We realize that this may inconvenience your travel plans and seek your patience and understanding. While this situation is completely beyond our control, please rest assured that our teams are always ready to assist you,” it said.
IMD predicts very heavy rain in Punjab, Haryana
The weather department has predicted ‘very heavy’ rainfall (over 12 cm) in Punjab and Haryana for the next two days, followed by continued heavy rainfall.
Speaking to ANI, IMD scientist Naresh Kumar said, “…For Punjab and Haryana, we forecast ‘very heavy’ rainfall (over 12 cm) for the next two days, followed by continued heavy rainfall.”
