A former AEW star issued a debatable statement regarding his jump from All Elite Wrestling to WWE. Royce Keys has become one of the important assets for the global sports entertainment juggernaut. In a short time, he has made a huge name for himself among the fans after debuting earlier this year.
Before joining WWE, Royce performed as Powerhouse Hobbs in All Elite Wrestling. He won different championships in the company and was part of the Opps faction. While he was pushed as a potential main eventer in the promotion, he decided to leave Tony Khan’s company when his deal expired.
Recently, Royce Keys said he had a lot of reasons for jumping from All Elite Wrestling to WWE. The SmackDown star also claimed that he didn’t think for a long time about joining the Stamford-based promotion, as it was his lifelong dream.
This comment didn’t sit well with the fans. Many believe that he subtly took a shot at AEW. Many claimed that he won’t last in WWE and will be released from the company within a year.

WWE veteran claims Royce Keys wasn’t happy in AEW
While speaking on Duke Loves Rasslin, D-Von Dudley said that Royce Keys was frustrated and unsatisfied during his run in Tony Khan’s company.
“Now that he’s under the WWE’s umbrella, he’ll be able to get that structure that he needs. He was very frustrated and very angry at times. I remember when talking with him, because he didn’t feel like he got that with AEW. And now that he’s in the WWE, it might be a different story. There are certain people that [sic] come from AEW, that go to WWE that feel more content, and they feel like they [are] in a place where they should be to learn what they need to do to take their careers to the next level. And he’s done that, and he’s going to do that, I should say,” he said.
