The expo, being held over two lakh sq ft of exhibition space here, has brought together more than 1,000 national and international brands showcasing readymade garments for men, women and children.
“The 60th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet and B2B Expo marks a significant milestone for us. Our objective is to provide a dynamic platform where businesses can connect, explore emerging market trends and expand their reach. We expect the event to generate business worth nearly Rs 1,600 crore,” West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association president Hari Kishan Rathi said.
With participation from over 1,000 brands and buyers from India and abroad, he said the event would strengthen trade partnerships, create new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of West Bengal’s garment and textile sector.
The association’s honorary secretary Devendra Baid said the garment industry is one of the largest employment generators and an important contributor to the state’s economy.
