Finn Balor is gearing up for WWE SummerSlam 2026. He gave himself a new nickname after a major win on the latest episode of SmackDown.
The Prince recently moved to SmackDown after wrapping up his feud against The Judgment Day. He participated in the 2026 King of the Ring Tournament as a member of the blue brand’s roster. However, Jey Uso defeated him and two other superstars in the quarterfinals of the competition.
Thanks for the submission!
A couple of weeks ago, Balor came face-to-face with his former Bullet Club teammate, Tama Tonga, on the Friday night program. Tama and Talla Tonga recently parted ways with Solo Sikoa, marking the end of MFT. The Good Bad Guy wasted no time after the faction’s split and immediately entered a major feud on SmackDown.
Tama and Talla brutally attacked Finn Balor in a backstage segment on the blue show. The former WWE Tag Team Champion indirectly implied that the elders of his family asked him to target The Prince. This past Friday, Balor and Tama locked horns in a one-on-one match. Balor defeated The Good Bad Guy in under 10 minutes to secure his first win as an official member of the blue brand’s roster.
Following the show, Balor took to X to upload pictures of himself from his entrance on SmackDown. In the caption, he also gave himself a new nickname ahead of The Biggest Party of the Summer.
“Finn Friday (night smackdown),” Balor wrote.

Finn Balor has his eyes on the Undisputed WWE Championship
CM Punk shockingly defeated Sami Zayn to win the Undisputed WWE Championship on the latest episode of RAW. He showed up as Zayn’s surprise challenger after Gunther injured Cody Rhodes in the backstage area.
This past Friday on SmackDown, Punk made his first appearance as Undisputed WWE Champion. He kicked off the show, addressing his potential challengers. Interestingly, The Second City Saint also namedropped Finn Balor and briefly discussed their recent world title matches.
Balor and Punk were embroiled in a heated feud earlier this year. The Best in the World defeated The Prince in a World Heavyweight Championship match in Ireland before besting him at Elimination Chamber 2026. They came face-to-face in a backstage segment on the latest episode of SmackDown, hinting at another showdown.
Given Balor’s top star status on SmackDown, he is widely expected to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship later this year.
