    Major AEW Return Announced; WWE Legend Is Back!

    A top WWE legend has been recently confirmed to make his AEW return this week.

    The aforementioned star, who is a former multi-time World Champion, is Paul White (fka Big Show). The World’s Largest Athlete became a legendary figure in professional wrestling through stints with top promotions such as WCW and WWE. He stayed with the Stamford-based promotion until his last tenure, which ended in 2021, following which he signed with rival promotion, All Elite Wrestling.

    The former WWE Champion has been featured as a commentator and occasional wrestler. Moreover, his last televised appearance was at Full Gear 2025, where he served as a commentator for a match. However, in a recent appearance on Face of the Franchize, the host, Joey Franchize, announced that Paul White would be returning to Tony Khan’s company and would be in the building for their upcoming episode of Dynamite: Beach Break on July 8.

    “AEW Beach Break presented by Visit St. Pete Clearwater tomorrow, July 8th. I’m excited for it. Paul White will be in the building. So many great stars in there. AEW’s killing it right now. Uh, Paul, really appreciate you taking the time, man. This means a lot.”

    Paul White on potential AEW in-ring return

    In a conversation with Virgin Radio UK, Paul White said that he could help elevate talent with his mentorship. Furthermore, White also added that he could still tell great stories with his in-ring performances, something he looked forward to, and in the process teased an in-ring return.

    “I don’t have to do much at this stage of the game. I’m not competing for championships. I’m not pulling the wagon, working every week. I have a great opportunity with All Elite Wrestling which was very important to me, to be able to help mentor some of the younger talent when they want it, tell them some stories to help them avoid some troubles in life, do the commentating where I can help explain what they’re doing and help develop their characters, and then get in the ring,” said White.

    With Paul White’s return set for Beach Break, it remains to be seen how AEW will utilize him on television for the show.
