WWE has fired multiple people over the last week. A report has now emerged about the same, detailing what happened.

WWE has fired a lot of people over the last week

There was talk of layoffs last week, but there was no confirmation of what happened within WWE. There were fans worried about the status of wrestlers who were being released, but that was not the case. According to a report by PWInsider, the employees being fired were company employees.

The report by PWInsider said that several employees were let go last week. So far, there have been 2 – 4 exits in the social media and digital departments. The report said that they were not alone and there were “many” others fired as well.

Currently, it’s under process to confirm how many people have been let go.

This is not the first time that the company has decided to let employees go. Over the last six years, since 2020, the company has undergone several rounds of cost-cutting. Since TKO took over, that has continued as well. Stars are let go every year after WrestleMania, with the end of April seen as a bad time for those not being utilized.

Just this year, Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, the Motor City Machine Guns, Santos Escobar, Wyatt Sicks, and many others have been let go. These are only the WWE stars, with internal cuts taking place as well.

The identities of those let go in this latest round of cuts have not yet been confirmed, but more details about the layoffs are expected in the coming days.

Stay tuned to Sportskeeda Wrestling for all updates about those being let go. While Triple H is in charge of deciding who stays and who goes among the stars, it’s not clear who is responsible for letting employees go.
