WWE SmackDown is nearing the conclusion of its three-hour schedule. Starting in July, the blue brand will have only a two-hour show. The fans in those respective arenas, before any SmackDown show, get to watch a few taped matches that air on WWE Main Event. One such match, featuring a mid-card SmackDown talent, changed her character.

The star in question here is Candice LeRae. The former Women’s Speed Champion wrestled Jacy Jayne and turned babyface. Right from her entrance to her moveset to the overall reception, she was a babyface. Although having Jayne as her opponent added to the impact, too. At one point, it was LeRae vs. Fatal Influence, with Jacy’s stablemates assisting her to win.

Candice has been able to restore energy to her husband, Johnny Gargano. As he lies down backstage, the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion cheers him to get up and do something.

Spoilers for the go-home edition of SmackDown before Night of Champions 2026

The go-home edition of WWE SmackDown before Night of Champions 2026 was taped live from London. Thus, what all happened on the show is known, although it has not been aired on television yet. As Trick Williams and Ricky Saints opened the show, hyping their United States Championship match at NoC.

Michin and B-Fab then defeated Alexa Bliss and Tiffany Stratton. Rey Fenix defeated Nathan Frazer. Paige defeated Jacy Jayne. Danhausen and Matt Cardona defeated Los Garza with some unexpected help from Kit Wilson and the Miz. Jade Cargill defeated Chelsea Green.

The MFT faction also showed cracks as Tama and Talla Tonga told Solo Sikoa they were walking away to focus strictly on their tag team aspirations.

Giulia then defeated Kiana James, but was later attacked by the debuting Blake Monroe. The main event was a four-man segment in which two storylines were woven together. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes confronted his opponents in Sami Zayn and Gunther, while Jey Uso came out to secure a potential title shot after possibly winning the King of the Ring tournament.

A dark match between Seth Rollins and Oba Femi vs. The Vision was held.
