The Away Carry-On I Always Recommend Is 20% Off for Prime Day

For most of my adult life, I’ve traveled with an Away Bigger Carry-On. I first purchased a dusty blue version back in 2016, the same year the brand—and its then-revolutionary built-in charger—launched. Since then, I’ve swapped it for a more neutral tan color. And though I’ve tested out many a carry-on in between as part of this job, I always come back to my Away.

I’m an overpacker, and it fits the most out of any carry-on suitcase I’ve tried. I like the even clamshell split of the bag; I use one side for clothing, the other for shoes and toiletry bags. Hats, thin purses, and any other small accessories tend to go in the divider pocket in the middle. Whenever friends or family ask me for a luggage recommendation, I tell them you can’t go wrong with the Away Bigger Carry-On—I’ve never had an issue with it breaking, and any major scuffs can be scrubbed away with a Magic Eraser.

So, all that to say, if you’re in need of a new carry-on, you’ll be happy to know this one is on sale for the summer 2026 Amazon Prime Day. Most colorways are 15% off, bringing the price down to $250 from $295, but if you opt for Palm Green or Sky Blue, you can score it for 20% off—just $236.

Beyond the holy grail Bigger Carry-On, several other popular Away pieces are currently discounted for Prime Day. The biggest savings to be had come from the soft-side pieces—the Softside Bigger Carry-On and Softside Medium and Large Checked suitcases are all 30% off through Friday. For family or long-haul travel, take a look at The Trunk, which is also 30% off in select hues (including a gorgeous fiery red).

If you’re looking to shop outside of Amazon this week, many of the same discounts can be found directly on Away‘s website, along with even more sales on small bags, totes, and backpacks. While you’re over there, I suggest kids and kids at heart peruse the new Toy Story collection—they really crushed it with the nostalgia factor alone.
