The thrill of the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues on Thursday as Tunisia and the Netherlands go head-to-head in the Group F finale at Kansas City Stadium. Following disappointing results in their opening two games, the North African nation are one of just four sides to already be eliminated from the global showpiece, while Ronald Koeman’s men could seal first position in the group with a win here.
Brought in to salvage their campaign after their opening-day disappointment against Sweden, Tunisia head coach Herve Renard failed to make his mark on Sunday as the Eagles of Carthage suffered a 4-0 loss against Japan.
Thanks for the submission!
The North African nation have lost each of their last four games across all competitions, including a 5-1 hammering at the hands of Sweden in their World Cup opener on June 15, a result that saw Sabri Lamouchi relieved of his role as head coach.
With two defeats from two games, Tunisia sit rock bottom in Group F and are one of just four nations to already be eliminated from the World Cup, but they will look to close out their campaign on a positive note this Thursday.
Coming off a difficult start, when they were held to a 2-2 opening-day draw by Japan, the Netherlands roared back in their second group game on Saturday with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Sweden.
Brian Brobbey and Cody Gakpo put on a show at the NRG Stadium, both netting twice to put Koeman’s men in cruise control, and after Anthony Elanga pulled one back for Sweden in the 59th minute, Crysencio Summerville put the icing on the cake for Oranje with an 89th-minute finish.
The Netherlands sit tied on four points with Japan at the top of the Group F standings, and they will aim to secure maximum points at the Arrowhead Stadium to finish as group winners.

Tunisia vs Netherlands Prediction
The Netherlands are up against a Tunisia side currently going through a rough patch, and buoyed by their commanding victory over Sweden at the weekend, they will head into Thursday’s tie with plenty of confidence.
Already eliminated, Tunisia have little to play for here, and with the Netherlands’ sights set on finishing as group winners, we predict Koeman’s men will come out on top in a one-sided affair.
Prediction: Tunisia 1-4 Netherlands
