Chennai: Tata Electronics on Tuesday said the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) has confirmed that the company had “satisfactorily addressed” all queries raised in its show-cause notice regarding alleged groundwater contamination from wastewater discharge at its Hosur facility, which primarily manufactures enclosures for Apple’s iPhones. “The TNPCB has dropped any further course of action on this issue,” the company said in a statement. It added that the regulator’s analysis of recently collected water samples from the Hosur facility did not indicate any contamination.
