Bunnie XO recently shared a boudoir photo of herself and a video lip-syncing to Nickelback’s How You Remind Me after news broke that Jelly Roll filed for divorce. Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) and Bunnie XO (real name Alisa DeFord) tied the knot in 2016 after a year of dating. On June 15, 2026, TMZ reported that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee, in May.
On June 15, the day TMZ reported about the divorce, Bunnie posted a TikTok video of herself lip-syncing to the Nickelback song, specifically the lyrics:
“It’s not like you didn’t know that/ I said, “I love you,” and I swear, I still do/ And it must have been so bad/’Cause living with me must have damn near killed you/ And this is how you remind me.”
According to E!Online, Bunnie XO also posted a boudoir photo of herself, dressed in pink lingerie, set to the song Help I’m Alive by Metric, captioning the Story “She’s getting her sparkle back.” It is unclear why Jelly Roll filed for divorce as of this article. However, TMZ reported that a source said the divorce was a mutual decision between the two.
The news of Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO’s divorce came months after the musician praised his wife at the 2026 Grammy Awards in February, where he won Best Contemporary Country Album for Beautifully Broken. In his acceptance speech, Jelly Roll said:
“I want to thank my beautiful wife. I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail. I would have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that.”
Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll renewed vows in 2023
Jelly Roll and Bunny XO renewed their wedding vows in 2023, seven years after they got married in 2016, to settle the debate surrounding their actual wedding date. According to a People Magazine article at the time, Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO decided to get married “while on a bender” in Vegas in 2016, and the two were unsure about their wedding date, with the musician saying:
“There was always a discrepancy with our anniversary, because she thought it was on one day. I thought it was on another day. Neither one of us knew.”
So they decided to renew their wedding vows in the same chapel where they got married, and they chose September 1 as the date because they “thought it [their wedding] was between the 30th and 31st” of August.
The couple went through a rough patch in 2018 due to Jelly Roll’s infidelity, with the musician admitting that the affair was “one of the worst moments of [his] adulthood” in an October 2025 episode of the Human School podcast. Jelly Roll further said that he “did a lot of work to repair that relationship” and added that the couple emerged “stronger than we could’ve ever been.”
Jelly Roll has two children, daughter Bailee and son Noah, from his previous relationships. Bunnie XO spoke about wanting to have children with the musician via surrogacy in her memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, published in February 2026.
“Now that we’re finally stable financially and somewhat emotionally after all the healing we’ve done over this decade together, we’re talking about the future—Âincluding growing our family. J and I have a surrogate, the sweetest woman ever, and soon I’ll be starting my IVF stims,” she wrote.
Jelly Roll has yet to directly comment on the news of his divorce from Bunnie XO as of this article.
